I heard a new Disney Movie "Beverly Hills Chihuahua" will be coming to cinemas later this year!
The preview looks hilarious & there's even a Ruby Scrumptious double starring in it!

In this Disney comedy, a pampered Beverly Hills Chihuahua names Chloe (voice of Drew Barrymore) finds herself accidentally lost in the mean streets of Mexico without a day spa or Rodeo Drive boutique anywhere in sight. Alone for the first time in her spoiled life, she must rely on some unexpected new friends including a street-hardened German Shepherd named Delgado (voice of Andy Garcia) and an amorous pup named Papi (voice of George Lopez) to lend her a paw and help her find her inner strength on their incredible journey back home.

Garcia is playing a German shepherd who was kicked off the police force because he lost his sense of smell and has now given up on life. Hayek is Chloe's spirit guide who helps her find her true heritage. Lopez is Papi, a macho romantic Chihuahua who will do anything for the love of Chloe.

Sounds like a Walt Disney film that cannot be missed!!

My workmate went to see the preview this at the disney offices in London!

He thinks i'm mad with my obsessions of chi's but even he says it was pretty good!

although it will have a bad effect on the breed! once again poorly bred dogs nothing near breed standard will flood the 'market' again!  That makes me very sad!

My contacts at Disney tell me that there is to be no big premiere for this movie (despite it making over $50 million dollars in the first 2 weeks of opening and staying at number 1 in the US film charts!) and it is not one of their "big films for the year" ... the release has been brought forward from the previous March date to January 16th 2009

My Mum took my children to see this and they all enjoyed the movie (although it was probably too scary for younger children!) - however it was a little disturbing to read of the 3 or 4 Chihuahuas that were killed during the filming of this movie when a handler allegedly put them in a trailer for a break and another handler had put some big dogs (Rottweilers I think?) into the same trailer! this was reported in the UK national dog press.
When they stated "no animal was harmed during the making of this movie" did they conveniently forget to mention this incident??!?!?
